Atlantica Jungle Lodge is located in one of the most preserved areas of Ilha Grande, with direct access to the Lopes Mendes region, allowing you to reach the beach in about a 15-minute walk, before and after the main flow of visitors.
The lodge is designed for those seeking direct contact with nature, in a quiet environment with a slower pace.
Because it is outside the island’s main areas, staying here works differently from an urban accommodation or a more conventional guesthouse.
Location
The location is unique on the island, both for its exceptional setting and for the rare possibility of, within just a few minutes’ walk, crossing from the bay side to the open sea, reaching Lopes Mendes beach.
Guests have access to several nearby beaches, including Praia de Santo Antônio, Palmas, Mangues, and Farol dos Castelhanos, allowing them to explore different parts of the coastline at their own pace. The lodge also offers simple kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for guest use, further expanding the possibilities for leisure and exploration.
During the day, especially in busy periods such as holidays and summer, the beach may receive visitors and boats, with some level of activity. At night, the environment is quiet.
Access
Access to the lodge is mainly by boat.
We recommend planning your arrival between 12:00 and 15:00, aligned with check-in time (13:00).
Night arrivals and transportation are not recommended, as they are more limited, weather-dependent, and significantly more expensive.
Energy And Structure
The lodge is located in an area without access to the public electricity grid.
It operates with its own energy system.
Available 24h in the rooms:
- lighting
- internet
- fan
- hot water
Air Conditioning
Air conditioning depends on the generator.
The generator operates daily from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, during which air conditioning is available.
During the warmer summer months (roughly late December through March), on particularly hot nights, operation may be extended until around 7:00 AM.
For most of the year, milder temperatures and natural ventilation are usually sufficient for most guests.
Food
We serve homemade meals, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, available upon request. For more details, please visit the Restaurant page on our website, where you will find the full menu.
During the day, there are also simple beach restaurants nearby.
There are no restaurants or bars accessible at night in the area.
Getting Around
As the property is located in a more secluded area, access to Vila do Abraão and other regions is by boat.
This requires prior planning, and nighttime travel is not recommended.
After the reservation is confirmed, you can rely on us to provide guidance and support in organizing your stay, including recommending trusted contacts for private transfers and boat tours.
Guest Profile
The experience is particularly well suited for those who value tranquility, a close connection with nature, and a slower pace. It favors a more independent stay, offering the freedom to explore the surroundings at one’s own rhythm.
It is often appreciated by couples and families with older children seeking privacy and a more direct connection with the island’s natural landscape.
That said, it may not align with the expectations of those who prioritize nightlife, a wide range of nearby services, or an experience closer to that of an urban hotel.
