Electric power
There is no public power distribution network where Atlantica is located. This means that we do not have electricity 24 hours a day.
Our electricity comes from a hybrid system that uses a diesel generator plus photovoltaic energy.
General lighting, Wi-Fi, a fan, hot shower and a 220V socket are powered by solar energy and are available in our rooms 24 hours a day.
Air conditioning only works when the diesel generator is turned on.
In autumn, winter and spring, the generator is turned on daily from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
In summer, the generator runs from 7:00 pm to 11:30pm, but on nights when the ambient temperature rises above 24 ° C, it will run from 7:00 pm until 7:00 am the next day. Which happens practically the whole month of January and February.
Internet
We offer free internet via Wi-Fi in all rooms and common areas 24 hours a day.
Meals and Drinks
We offer exclusive bar and “à la carte” restaurant services for our guests.
Transport from and to Vila do Abraão, the main town in the island
During daylight, there is many options and prices to reach Vila do Abraão and we are pleased to explain that, when you get here.
We receive many enquires of guests asking about transport to have dinner in Vila do Abraão, or just to hang out there at night. Although it is possible, please note that this transport service at night, costs up to R$ 600 (round trip) and can be canceled due to weather conditions. We had once a couple of guests who need to sleep in Vila do Abraão and come back next day morning due to a strong and unexpected summer storm.
We are pleased to arrange water taxis, check the weather forecast for you, give options to make this more affordable, but we understand that stay in Atlantica is a complete different experience than stay in Abraão, and the night here in the jungle, is one of the main part of this experience.
Therefore, if you are the kind of person that the calmness of nature by night may annoy you, you might consider stay in Vila do Abraão.
Boat Tours
Shared boat tours depart only from Vila do Abraão. We are pleased to explain and book tours for you.
Because of the schedule of the trips, you will have the extra cost of need private taxi boat service, to arrive and come back from Abraão.
We also can book private boat tours that can pick you up and drop you off in the lodge.
Money and Payments
We accept as form of payments credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and Dinners) and cash.
Many places in Abraão accept credit cards as form of payment but remember that there is no ATM machines in the island. Bring cash to avoid problems or extra fees in some services like boat tours.
